Eventually the time came for me to have a business card for use as self promotion. Minimal yet radiant, I was very excited to learn that I could allow foil blocking for both front and back. I couldn’t have asked for a more refined design personally and look forward to handing these out starting now. Questions/comments would be much appreciated.

I am totally surprised I hadn’t seen Cyber City Oedo 808 in the heyday of my watching obsession, thereby providing a few hours of cyberpunk infused entertainment. I have been increasingly attracted to the techno-genre in the past year and this one did not disappoint. Awash with technical diagrams, I couldn’t let this be missed on the blog. A little more info of the series can be found below (pulled from wiki):
Cyber City Oedo 808, directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, is a seminal Cyberpunk anime set in the year 2808 in the megalopolis of Oedo (Tokyo). To combat computerised crime more effectively, the Cyber Police unit of the future Japanese city of Oedo has restarted the feudal practice of hōmen, employing hardened criminals with a history of hi-tech offences and other crimes such as murder as officers themselves. Although there are no specifics to what kind of society the series is based in, it is presented as very high-tech but also with a very dystopian feel. All of the extensive computer graphics used in each episode were actually hand drawn since the production was made before the age of digital media.

Classic anime at its finest. I’ve always been a fan of Evangelion but admittedly have not until recently watched the cyber-punk anime Armitage III. Overall I enjoyed it quite alot as it asked some very intriguing questions about the future of technology and robotics that were less prevalent within more famous titles such as Ghost in the Shell. Its understandable to be much less known than others and should be promoted as a pleasing short series to watch if your looking for something refreshing in such genre.
