Recently I got a tickle of an e-mail informing me that I have been selected to be included in the first dedicated issue of Clone Magazine for graphics and illustration. So free e-pints for all! As you can see on the left, it was the piece I had recently done for my brother/artist Mad Flows for his upcoming album. Congratulations to all the others who made it into this great first collection and make sure to check out the website for the upcoming online exhibition of all the submissions.
New Work
Also for a nice addition I thought I might post up another little piece I was working on in the interim based on geometric scaling as well. I think your eyes might play some fun games after you stare at the center for too long…
I have always been highly intruiged with time-lapse photography involving light and only recently began to really dive deeper into the intracies of what can be created. Above are two favourite photographs I was able to take, one outside and one within, that came out visually appealing and I felt it would be best to put them up here to get some feedback from you, the public. Also, in an increadibly conincedental search on Youtube, I was able to find one of my favourite musicians from Japan called Cornelius. I originally was introduced to him by my visiting friend from Tokyo five years ago and once he departed back, much of what I had learned had faded into the lost corners of my memory. Since rediscovering Cornelius I can’t help but fall in love with his music all over again. Even more amazing though is his impeccable taste for his mainly self-created videos that accompany his music, seeming to effortlessly blend with the melody like the music and imagrey were created in unison. I wholeheartedly invite you to watch the videos I posted below but bear in mind that there are many more, as if thats a bad thing…
Recently I have been asked by Mad Flows of the Ph3 Crew for some designs and I couldn’t help but look to some of the Images from NASA’s stunning collection. Similarly like so many others I have an infatuation with space. I suppose its that tingling dream that I’ve always had since a child to go up there, one that I know millions of you out there share. As such, I’ve posted some interesting images of the always colourful (be it processed or actual visible-spectrum) nebula and galaxy formations. Also are some wonderfully exposed photos of an Icon in space exploration, the Space Shuttle. I would love to photograph one of, if not the most powerful subjects, Earth itself. The astronaut looks so bright and lifeless contrasted against a completely black space. I get the immediate sense of how small and fragile we are incased in this technologically ‘advanced’ incubator. Of course as we advance as a civilization, what will such explorations be like a hundred years from now? Time will tell…
On another note the tune provided is Ph3 Crew‘ new single: Edas. Expect more greats in the near future as they begin to tour around the Northern California, Sacramento area. Im loving the track ‘Runnin’ also, a collaboration with Luxton and his dance-inducing dub-step tracks coming out of Brighton, UK. Keep a look out for these guys!
